We Got us a Gaming Chair Upgrade!
At Trinity Gamers, I recently got an upgrade to the gaming chair selection! Previously I was sitting on a padded steel folding chair and let’s be honest…my butt fell asleep faster than a narcoleptic at a Kenny G concert. In doing some research on what upgrade I should be making for both my back and butt DXRacer became the clear front runner for my needs.
Why a DXRacer Gaming Chair?
My choice to go with this particular gaming chair was based off a couple different categories.
- Adjust-ability…if that’s a word:
I wanted a chair that was adjustable in as many ways as possible! there is nothing worse than binge gaming and sitting in the same position for the entire time. The Racing Series Gaming Chair has so many adjustments that can be made I feel like I am still finding them a month later. This chair has a height adjustment, tilt, 180 degree recline, arm height adjustment, and arm pad shift and tilt adjustments.
- Comfort:
The one thing that my steel gaming chair was missing from a comfort perspective was…comfort. The comfort level of the DXRacer gaming chair is light years beyond what I had been gaming on. The seat of the gaming chair is made of a high-quality foam that has me excited to game on a cloud for a number of years. there is a high back to the chair that supports any position you wish to sit in but encourages you to sit back and enjoy taking stress off your lower back. The chair comes with a neck pillow and an adjustable lumbar support. These accessories are icing on the cake when it comes to what seems to be a spa like gaming experience.
- Price:
I believe the saying is “you get what you pay for”. To be honest the steel chair takes the cake in this battle, Surprise surprise right? Really though, this gaming chair ran me about $350 which is not unreasonable for any comfortable office chair. When I was doing research for the gaming chairs that are available all of the options were anywhere from $250 to $600. With the quality associated to this chair and the comfort it provides I would absolutely purchase it again without batting an eye.
Well I’ve Made my Bed, Now I’ll Sleep in it.
No… seriously, I have fallen asleep in it, at least twice! overall the chair is super comfortable, incredibly functional and priced competitively. Traditionally when I spend a decent amount of money on something there is always the feeling of “was it worth it”. In this case I would say without a doubt. My only grip as minimal as it is would be the neck pillow. there is not much for height adjustments on the neck pillow and it falls a little lower than I would like. With that said the comfort it provides is still out of this world.
I would give the DXRacer OH/RV131 Gaming chair 5 out of 5 in any review out there. Great chair, Great value, Great experience
